Payroll Specialist Accountant

SUMMARY: Provide accounting support to the ownership & departmental personnel by ensuring data integrity of financial information, providing timely & accurate reporting to management, safeguarding company assets, and maintaining internal controls.
Reviews data and creates accounting records within the accounting system.




DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




Prepares and records bi-weekly payrolls for Bear Homes, Bear Development, Construction Management Association, Bear Services and Bear Property Management.


Over sees the set-up and changes for any team members within ADP.


Maintains all employee folders.


Records and submits payment requests for benefit insurance premiums.


Tracks employee Vacation and PTO.


Prepares and records Commissions.


Updates and balances FSA account.


Supports Human Resources with new hire packets.


Provides requested supporting documentation for audits and tax preparation


Prepare and maintain accounting transactions within accounting system.


Performs other related duties as assigned by management.




QUALIFICATIONS:




Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent


One to three years related experience or equivalent.


Familiarity with construction standards and terminology.


Excellent written and oral communication skills


Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills


Ability to manage priorities and workflow


Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm


Acute attention to detail


Strong interpersonal skills.


Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.


Excellent computer skills


Familiarity with AppFolio and Pro Contractor software.


Nominal Salary: To be agreed
