Payroll Tax Analyst (Contract)

MGR, a Teamshares network company, is searching for a remote Payroll Tax Analyst to join one of our client's teams.
The Payroll Tax Analyst will take on a project of clean up, implementation of process, accurate and timely processing of payroll taxes for a variety of multi-state companies and their locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll tax laws and regulations, as well as experience working with multiple state tax agencies.
\n ResponsibilitiesCalculating and withholding federal, state, and local taxes from employee wages Manage tax setup and maintenance, including account registrations, online account setup (where available), system updates, and maintaining documentation of account informationAssessing and paying of penaltiesMaintaining accurate records of all payroll tax transactionsDocument tax-related processes and conduct training on procedures and best practices. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance5+ years of recent experience in payroll tax processingStrong understanding of payroll tax laws and regulationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite This role is 100% remote with an estimated need of 3-6 months.
