Job Summary: Personal Trainers conduct Fitness Assessments and design effective, efficient, safe and comprehensive exercise programs for a diverse training population. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Fitness Assessment responsibilities include" managing appropriate paperwork, screening clients for medical clearance, and administering the following test: Resting Heart Rate, Blood Pressure, Height, Weight, BMI, InBody 570 Body Composition Analysis, 3-Minute Step Test, 1-Minute Curl-Up Test, Hand Grip Strength, and a Sit & Reach Flexibility Test. Personal Training responsibilities include: proper program design and exercise prescription, teaching/coaching proper exercise form, technique, and safety, excellent communication and time management skills, and maintaining proper documentation, including client workout logs, to ensure and monitor progress and keep a record of a client's training history. Minimum Qualifications: Possess a current persona training certification (or equivalent) from a nationally recognized, third-party accredited certifying body. Accepted certification include the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), or American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), or American Council on Exercise (ACE). Preferred Qualifications: Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Nursing or other health-related fields of study with one (1) year of personal training experience.
