Schedule This position requires consistent availability at least 3 days Monday - Friday from ~10a-2pAdditional days, morning, evening and weekend work available for those interested!When not working on pet care tasks, the right candidate will have the opportunity perform administrative and/or local marketing tasks before or after your dog walking route. There are many growth opportunities! Location We are based out of Oxford, CT but also service Southbury, Middlebury, Watertown, Oakville, Waterbury, Thomaston, Naugatuck, Beacon Falls and Prospect. Typically a route covers 1-2 towns.
Compensation $16 - $20 / hour
Team members average $1,000 - $2,100+ / month based on staff member availability and performance

Driving to, between and from scheduled appointmentsAccessing clients' homesProviding food and water to petsAdministering medication to petsDisposing of animal waste appropriatelyMonitoring the safety and health of petsAdhere to agreed-upon routes, schedules, and other directions from clients Required Skills Ability to control dogs of varying sizes and breeds.Ability to track time and manage appointments and scheduling conflicts.Ability to communicate with clients and management, including initial consultations and receiving client feedbackAbility to maintain complete and accurate records relating to services provided, including records of the time spent on each service As our team grows and our business evolves, we often promote within to managerial positions and positions within our dog training programs at Where Sit Happens. Physical Job Requirements A key element of this role is to have physical stamina and the ability to control multiple dogs during walks with intermittent hazards such as vehicle and pedestrian traffic. You will spend a significant amount of time outside for your job and you may be asked to walk dogs in inclement weather (cold, raining, etc.).
While performing the duties of this job, you are regularly required to walk, reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, and crouch. You must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
At times, RCO Pet Care services will require you to transport a dog in your personal vehicle. You may also be responsible for taking dogs to the veterinarian in the event of an emergency or scheduled visit.
