Photonics Designer & AI Enthusiast Location: Cambridge (MA)
Axiomatic_AI's mission: Axiomatic_AI is readying to launch with the aim to accelerate R&D by "Automated Interpretable Reasoning" (AIR) -- a verifiably truthful AI model built for reasoning in science and engineering. Axiomatic_AI is hiring top talent interested in a future of human reasoning aided by -- not replaced by -- AI, and a future that empowers a new generation of innovators to solve important problems through deep-tech engineering in the semiconductor ecosystem.
Responsibilities: - Lead the design and implementation of advanced reasoning-AI architectures and algorithms
- Communicate technical progress and any obstacles encountered along the way to both technical and non-technical team members.
- Work collaboratively with a team of machine learning researchers and engineers. Your role involves sharing knowledge, brainstorming solutions, and contributing to a cohesive team environment to achieve project milestones and deliverables
Qualifications: Master's degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in photonic design and development.
Strong knowledge of photonic design methodologies, tools, and techniques.
Expertise in designing high-performance, low-power photonic devices for various applications.
Proficiency in optical simulation software, such as COMSOL, Lumerical, or similar.
Experience with optical fabrication and characterization techniques is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
