The selected individual will assume responsibility for the design, implementation, and upkeep of Windows server environments catering to our internal systems, content partners, and offices. This includes managing both on-premise infrastructure and cloud-based deployments on Azure and AWS. Proficiency in Windows Server technologies, along with a comprehensive understanding of cloud computing and virtualization, is essential for this role. The ideal candidate will possess significant hands-on experience in server and virtual machine automation using relevant technologies.

Duties & Responsibilities: Oversee the comprehensive management of Windows Server environments, ensuring stability, scalability, and high availability. Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to devise customized server solutions aligned with business objectives. Implement system installations, configurations, upgrades, and adhere to security best practices. Automate server provisioning, configuration, and management using relevant technologies and scripting languages. Monitor and optimize server performance, troubleshoot incidents, and collaborate with support teams for prompt resolution. Establish backup and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard data and maintain uninterrupted business operations. Keep documentation current for server configurations, processes, and procedures. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in Windows Server, on-premise infrastructure, and Azure/AWS Cloud platforms. Identify and monitor security risks in source control, cloud platforms, and infrastructure proactively. Collaborate with various Scrum teams, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, System Architects, QA Engineers, Platform Engineers, and Users. Develop tools and processes to automate daily development, testing, and release management tasks. Encourage innovation, explore new technologies, take calculated risks, and actively seek the best solutions and ideas in the marketplace. Required Experience & Skills: Minimum of 6+ of Windows Server Engineering experience, emphasizing on on-premise operations and cloud environments, specifically Azure and AWS. Comprehensive understanding of cloud computing principles, coupled with practical experience in Azure and/or AWS. Competence in on-premise server and virtual machine automation using relevant technologies like PowerShell, Ansible, Chef, Pulumi, Puppet, and Terraform. Hands-on involvement with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware. Familiarity with scripting languages for automation and configuration management. Bonus points for familiarity with Linux and Linux automation using tools like Ansible or Puppet. Proficiency in monitoring tools and expertise in performance optimization techniques. Additional advantage for experience with Pulumi, Terraform, and/or other "Infrastructure as Code" tools.
