Description: The Police and Fireman's Retirement and Relief Board shall determine retirement, and disability determinations.
Membership Qualifications: The board shall be comprised of members and alternatives appointed from among persons who are employees of the District of Columbia.
One member and one or more alternatives from each of the following:
The District of Columbia Office of PersonnelThe District of Columbia Corporation CounselThe District of Columbia Department of Human ServicesThe Metropolitan Police ForceThe District of Columbia Fire and Emergency Medical Services DepartmentTwo members, one of whom shall be a physician, appointed from among persons who are not officers or employees of the District of Columbia.
Qualifications: Individuals with professional and life experience as listed above.
