Full-time Police Officer Police Officer Salary Range for 2024 | $24.00 - 31.50
Police Officer Salary Range for 2025 | $24.72 - 32.45 At the discretion of the Employer, a newly hired employee may be placed at a wage step commensurate with such employee's prior, certifiable experience. The advanced step placement shall be made at the time of original appointment. Minimum Requirements: Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Must possess a high school diploma or GED. Must submit a completed City Employment Application, a copy of valid driver's license, current Ohio Peace Officers Certificate, DD214 form (if applicable), and a copy of college degree in Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement (if applicable). Exams will be held on the following dates:
October 9, 2024 @ 6PM
October 12, 2024 @ 9AM Testing will be held in City Hall, City of Columbiana, 28 West Friend Street, Columbiana, Ohio 44408.
You must bring a check or money order in the amount of $15.00 the day of the test along with your photo ID. (Arrive at the test location at least 15 minutes prior to test time for registration)

Bonus points will be awarded to a passing exam score in accordance with established regulations.

Before hire, applicants must pass a drug screening, physical examination, psychological evaluation, a physical agility test, and also complete a background release form and a credit information disclosure form. The City of Columbiana is a drug-free workplace and a PSLF Employer.
