Police Officer

The Town of Caswell Beach Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Police Officer – full-time. This position is a permanent night schedule consisting of a 5pm-5am shift, 14 days per month. The Town of Caswell Beach participates in the NC State health plan and offers dental, vision, direct deposit, and basic life insurance benefits. Vacation and sick time are accrued regularly as well. Full-time officers receive 10 paid holidays per year. The town participates in the Local Government Employees Retirement System as well as a 401(k) supplemental retirement program. Full-time officers are issued a take home car if they reside in Brunswick County. The expected hiring range for this position is between $38,958 and $49,136 per year, depending on qualifications.
Officers are expected to be available for infrequent overtime duty and will be offered occasional off-duty contract employment as well.
Minimum Requirements for Employment:Successful completion of NC Basic Law Enforcement Training and eligibility for NC certification.Two or more years of full-time law enforcement experience, with preference given to intermediate or advanced law enforcement certificate holders.Must possess a valid NC driver's license.Applicants must pass a background check, a physical/psychological examination including a drug screen and a credit check.Possession of current Radar Operator and Chemical Analyst certifications are preferred, but not required.Starting date for this position is January 1, 2025.Interested applicants should forward their resume and a completed/notarized NC FORM F-3LE to:
