Job Description This role focuses on the leadership of specific project assignments, developing long-term relationships with project stakeholders, and is responsible for achieving successful project outcomes and client satisfaction.As Preconstruction Manager, your primary daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Responsible for preconstruction deliverables to clients.Develop a strategy for each assigned project.Provide support to business sales, team sales, and presentations.Risk management - ensure sound financial deals.Drive cost leadership.Oversee and prepare estimates for projects at all stages.Ensure accuracy of estimates produced.Ensure that the costing database is current and includes labor and material updates.Oversee the value-added process for each project.Take lead in preparing guaranteed maximum prices and bring them to closure.Direct, review, and approve the work of Estimating Engineers, Conceptual Estimators, and Senior Estimators.Drive deadlines and achieve results.Ensure client satisfaction during preconstruction.Attend sales presentations and market work to existing clients.Enforce and support project planning, logistics, and scheduling with other teams.Ensure involvement of subcontractors for pricing.Support the operation team during subcontractor negotiations.Continuously develop staff by mentoring, leading, motivating, and coaching (e.g., Ethics, Diversity, Quality, Development, Safety).Manage successful client relationships.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. The Successful Applicant Experience in estimating interior projects in class A office, retail, municipal, and other commercial spaces.Minimum 10 years of experience in the commercial construction field.Experience leading preconstruction teams.Experienced negotiating skills to secure reliable contractor/vendor bids.Ability to read and interpret construction documents and materials.Proficient computer skills.Excellent presentation, writing, and communication skills. Spec writing is a plus.Proficient in various project management and preconstruction software.What's on Offer Salary: $110,000 - $135,000 base salary + benefits.
