Job Description: The Press operator will be operating a range of pressroom equipment the successful candidate will perform tasks including blanking piercing forming spot welding deburring assembly and packaging of various materials. Key responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints procedures and work instructions ensuring precise positioning of workpieces in tooling or equipment and utilizing precision measuring instruments to verify product conformance. Additionally documenting machine settings and production data maintaining accurate cycle counts and promptly notifying supervisors of any nonconforming products are vital aspects of the role. Upholding stringent safety guidelines and maintaining a clean work environment are essential. Operators are expected to adhere to Company State and Federal Regulatory Requirements while also operating material handling equipment proficiently. The role demands the ability to work independently with appropriate supervision and meet specified run rates outlined on Job Traveler documents. Furthermore after one year of employment operators will embark on the Press Training Program to further enhance their skills and expertise.
Requirements: Vocational/technical education machine operation or equivalent education training and experience required. Ability to reread and interpret documents such as customer drawings operating and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively troubleshoot problems present and write information and respond to questions from groups of managers customers and employees. Ability to solve practical problems with thoroughness and diligence ability to be decisive with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; Ability to interpret a variety of instruction furnished in written oral diagram or scheduled form.The employee must be able lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
