Principal Product Manager, Cloud Security Information and Event Management (Cloud SIEM)

We are looking for an experienced Principal Product Manager who possesses a unique blend of market insight, strategic thinking, and meticulous execution to shape the direction of Sumo Logic Cloud SIEM, a key component of our security portfolio. You will be working very closely with engineering, portfolio product management teams, sales and marketing to ensure successful delivery and execution in the market
What You Will Be Doing:
Defining vision, strategy and roadmap for Cloud SIEM, , aligning product development with market demands and emerging trends.
Conduct comprehensive market analysis and customer discovery to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation within the cybersecurity landscape.
Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry thought leaders, to gather feedback and insights that inform product direction.
Lead the strategic planning and execution of our Security portfolio- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, develop roadmaps, and drive timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
Utilize data-driven insights to inform product decisions, prioritize feature development, and optimize resource allocation.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of cybersecurity practices and technologies, and the emerging role of machine learning and AI applications.
Stay abreast of industry developments and emerging threats, continuously refining product strategies to address evolving security challenges.
Serve as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity, representing Sumo Logic at industry events, conferences, and forums.
What you bring:
5-10 years experience in Product Management, developing and executing product strategies that drive revenue growth and market expansion, with a focus on security products or related domains.
Deep knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices; familiarity with machine learning and AI applied to security is highly desirable.
Prior experience working for leading cybersecurity vendors such as Microsoft, Google, AWS, Splunk or Crowdstrike is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Passion for innovation and a relentless curiosity about emerging cybersecurity trends and technologies.
Proven track record of working with customers and deep customer engagements
Experience working directly with technical engineering teams and in a matrixed Product Management team environment
Demonstrable ability to work effectively with both, technical and business leaders
Understanding and ability to define technical specifications, write high-level documents, and interpret security requirements into concrete product requirements
BS degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience. An MBA is a plus

The expected annual base salary range for this position is $176,000 - $237,000. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors which include (but aren’t limited to) role level, skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, location, and experience. In addition to base pay, certain roles are eligible to participate in our bonus or commission plans, as well as our benefits offerings, and equity awards.
