Job Title: Process Development Engineer
Location: Cambridge, MA
Key Responsibilities:
+ Process Development: Support the development and technical transfer of synthetic drug substance processes by demonstrating scale-up execution in the kilo lab.
+ Technical Execution: Execute scale-up experiments and trials to ensure process robustness and reproducibility.
+ Equipment and Instrument Ownership: Act as an owner for key equipment and instruments, ensuring they are maintained and calibrated.
+ Inventory Management: Lead inventory maintenance, including chemical and equipment ordering and shipping.
+ Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure successful process development and transfer.
+ Documentation: Maintain detailed records of experiments, protocols, and results to support regulatory filings and intellectual property protection.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
+ Proven experience in process development, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
+ Hands-on experience with kilo lab scale-up execution.
+ Strong understanding of synthetic chemistry and process development principles.
+ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
