Process Improvement Engineer

Gpac is currently working with a client south of Raleigh, North Carolina who is seeking a Manufacturing Process Improvement Engineer for their food production facility. This is a large company and position will be based out of their HQ, reporting to the VP of Manufacturing.
An ideal candidate should have previous experience in a food manufacturing environment, with a background in lean manufacturing and CI as this person will be responsible for conducting process improvement initiatives aimed at improving their manufacturing processes, reducing losses, and reducing costs.
Qualified candidates should have the following:
4 year engineering degree
Lean manufacturing experience (Green belt/black belt a plus)
5+ years experience in high volume process based food manufacturing
Experience working on pricess improvement/CI initiatives
Ability to teach manufacturing and technical concepts
Hands on approach, being on the floor with equipment and operator
Data driven/analytical mindset
Proficient in Excel
Previous experience within FOOD MANUFACTURING
