Position OverviewChampion process improvement activities for assigned locations including identifying and quantifying opportunities, process and data analysis, project management and solution implementation and control. Provide operational business intelligence support (region and assigned locations) including: (1) design, development and maintenance of business intelligence tools (2) prepare for and assist with the facilitation of business reviews to identify areas of opportunity and (3) provide ad hoc analysis to site and region leadership.
Job DescriptionProcess Improvement – Analyze operations to identify, quantify and prioritize actionable areas of opportunity. Develop business cases (problem definition, establishing baselines, KPIs and financial impacts, etc.) for potential projects.Engage stakeholders cross functionally ensuring alignment and support for projects. Plan/manage national and regional projects.Facilitate process improvement activities and be accountable for driving project and achieving results.Propagate continuous improvement methodology/techniques/mindset across the organization.Business Intelligence – Engage with operations staff to determine business intelligence needs.Design, enhance and maintain reports and tools that enable identification of opportunity areas and facilitate identification of root causes (involves data mining from variety of systems, significant use of database and spreadsheet tools).Assist with training initiatives for operations staff in the use of business intelligence tools. Participate in facility business reviews. Support finance analysts during budgeting and forecasting.Travel Required: NoEnvironmentOffice: Office Temperature (65F to 75F)Warehouse: Freezer (-20F to 0F)Warehouse: Perishable Warehouse (28F to 60F)Warehouse: Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F)SkillsSpecialized Knowledge: Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Project Management qualification(s)Special Skills: PMP Certification, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma CertificationsPhysical abilities: Strong multi-tasking, communication and organizational skills. Ability to work well with all levels of team members with different backgrounds and needs.Experience with supply chain: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel required, experience with other data systems/software strongly desired (MS Access, Sequel Server, Hyperion, Minitab, MS Project, MS SharePoint, etc.)Years Of ExperienceProficiency with data analysis and basic statistics required (statistical process control, hypothesis testing desired)Minimum of three years of project management/process improvement experience required, preferably in supply chain environment.Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Project Management qualification(s) strongly desiredQualificationsBachelor's Degree - Business Administration/Management, Bachelor's Degree - Industrial Engineering, Bachelor's Degree - Information Technology, Bachelor's Degree - Logistics Management, Lean/Six Sigma (Black Belt) - Other, Lean/Six Sigma (Green Belt) - Other
