Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Product Owner to join our Scrum team working on an innovative clinical AI project.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maximizing the value of the product by managing the product backlog, defining user stories, and ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy and clinical goals.
Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Product Backlog Management Develop and clearly communicate the product vision and goal to the Scrum team and stakeholders.
Create, groom, and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it reflects the current understanding of the product requirements and clinical objectives.
Define user stories and acceptance criteria based on customer and stakeholder requirements.
Ensure the product backlog is transparent, visible, and understood by all team members and stakeholders.
Stakeholder CollaborationAct as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including clinical experts, business leaders, and development teams.
Incorporate feature requests into the product roadmap and prioritize them based on clinical impact and business value.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure that the product meets clinical needs and regulatory requirements.
Sprint and Release PlanningSet clear, elevating goals for each sprint and ensure the team understands the priorities.
Plan product releases and upgrades, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery.
Follow the progress of work and address any production issues that arise during sprints.
Limited Production Release ManagementPlan and oversee limited production releases of the clinical AI product.
Develop strategies for collecting, analyzing, and incorporating user feedback from limited releases.
Collaborate with the development team to prioritize and implement improvements based on limited release feedback.
Ensure that learnings from limited releases are effectively communicated to all stakeholders and incorporated into the product roadmap.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)Design and coordinate comprehensive user acceptance testing processes for the clinical AI product.
Develop UAT plans and test cases that align with clinical workflows and user expectations.
Perform hands-on user acceptance testing to ensure the product meets all specified requirements and clinical standards.
Document and prioritize issues identified during UAT, working closely with the development team to resolve them.
Validate that all acceptance criteria are met before approving features or releases.
Engage clinical end-users in the UAT process to gather authentic feedback and ensure the product's usability in real-world scenarios.
Feedback IntegrationSynthesize feedback from limited production releases, UAT, and ongoing user interactions to inform product decisions.
Create and maintain a feedback loop that ensures continuous product improvement based on real-world usage and clinical outcomes.
Translate user feedback into actionable product backlog items and feature enhancements Continuous ImprovementAnalyze end-user preferences and feedback to refine the product and improve user satisfaction.
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in clinical AI to ensure the product remains competitive and compliant.
Refine agile methodologies based on results and client feedback to enhance the development process.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product management, preferably in the healthcare or clinical AI domain.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and hands-on experience managing all stages of the product lifecycle.
Technical background with knowledge of software development and AI technologies.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related field; advanced degrees in healthcare or AI-related fields are a plus.
Certified Scrum Product Owner-(Scrum.org or Scrum Inc.); Scrum Master Certification Preferred Qualifications:Excellent understanding of software design patterns and architecture paradigms Previous Product ownership of AI projects Knowledge of pharmacy management or similar health care technology solutions Knowledge of Jira, Aha, and Azure DevOps helpful Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in the healthcare industry.
