THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:  The Product Owner is a core member of the Agile Scrum team and is responsible for the execution and delivery of the product roadmap and its initiatives. The Product Owner is responsible for driving the day-to-day direction of product development and partners closely together with the Product Manager to define the product roadmap supporting the strategic vision for their team. They are responsible for the creation and maintenance of the Product Backlog including its content, availability, and prioritization. They will create and refine user stories and set priorities for sprint planning while working closely with Product Analysts to ensure the correct acceptance criteria is defined for the product features. They collaborate with a variety of business partners to identify value-add solutions, unlock digital assets, and solve complex business problems.  They have a deep understanding of the target market/industry and build close relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that the team's effort is aligned with overall strategy. The Product Owner manages dependencies with other team's functions through identifying, building, and managing strategic partnerships across the different teams while acting as a liaison between the delivery team and business, ensuring clear communication and alignment. 
YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH ALL THESE GOALS BY:  Set an ambitious and clear product vision and communicate it effectively to the team and all relevant stakeholders Lead business and technical development teams through the agile product development lifecycle Accountable for product KPIs once solution enters production and communicate regular tracking to stakeholders Accountable to achieve results and a strategic responsibility for the product roadmap Utilize market/industry knowledge to translate user needs into user stories and acceptance criteria for their team, and maintain a backlog 3 to 4 springs ahead of the team Advocate for business stakeholders in providing timely actionable insights and recommendations to grow the business Facilitate release planning with stakeholders as well as weekly demos when necessary Build strong internal and external networks of capabilities and capacity to execute on the vision with quality and speed Develop Agile best practices and engage in the spirit of continuous improvement ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Partner with the Tech Lead to lead the development of all products, including solution architecture Support the technical roadmap from the product roadmap working with technical leads and stakeholders across channels Champion the adoption of agile and product development practices focused on delivering value by partnering with business stakeholders and serving as a mentor to innovative teams Lead continuous improvement efforts by understanding stakeholder objectives, customer feedback, and proposing solutions to shape products Acts as the voice of the customer to represent the business THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:  Bachelor's degree, with 5+ years relevant work experience, at least 3+ years in product management, agile and scrum preferred and +1 year of management experience Experience in a digital, E-commerce environment and Cart/Checkout/Conversion preferred Experiencing using tools, such as Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint Proven knowledge and understanding of standard precision practices, technology and supporting industry principles Experience leading teams in an agile setting (i.e. facilitating agile ceremonies, managing a backlog/release plan, writing user stories), tracking team level metrics, removing blockers (burndown chart, release burn up, etc.) Domain-specific technical expertise to support backlog development and resolve blockers for the team Strong collaborator with cross-functional teams from tech, design and business Strong leader, collaborator and individual contributor Strong communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders, communicate complex concepts and align the organization on decisions Strong problem solver with the ability to manage and lead the team to push the solution and progress Demonstrated to motivate teams and "role up the sleeves" and go outside their comfort zone to learn Experimental mindset to drive innovation, empower others to fail, learn and grow ABOUT At  Ulta Beauty (NASDAQ: ULTA),  the possibilities are beautiful .
