The underwriter will play a key role working with the product leader to help grow a profitable book of Product Recall & Contamination business for companies in the larger middle market and corporates segment.
The underwriter will take an active part in the development and implementation of an underwriting strategy that identifies profitable market opportunities and broker relationships.
How You Will Contribute Underwrite and develop a book of primary and excess business on current product recall & contamination products.
Partner with the product leader to review and manage overall book performance and production results.
Analyze risks and book of business results to manage and control underwriting exposure and pricing strategy consistent with MGA/carrier objectives.
Manage retail and wholesale broker relationships nationwide.
Travel to existing and prospective brokers to encourage new business production.
Represent Nexus at networking functions and other industry-related events.
Cultivate and maintain relationships within and outside Nexus to develop US specialty presence.
Develop and expand the renewal book of business for the middle market and corporate sector.
Skills & Experience to Be SuccessfulBachelor's degree and 3+ years product recall experience.
Product Recall & Contamination underwriting technical ability.
Demonstrates significant contribution to underwriting profit.
Independent decision maker - takes full responsibility for making decisions and consequences associated with decisions.
Knowledge of the product recall external market and contributes to the development of business strategy.
Established network of retail and wholesale relationships within the product recall community.
Continually seeks opportunities for portfolio growth and potential wholesale broker opportunities.

Pay Range
$80,000 - $120,000 Annual
The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
