Overview

This position is within the FUJIFILM North America Corporation - Imaging Division (ID) and provides consumer and commercial photographic products and services.The Production Manager is responsible for efficiently working as a member of the leadership team, driving the values by transforming the Production Operations Team into a customer-focused, proactive operation that will help drive Fujifilm's business.
This position reports to the Operations Manager in Portland, OR and will support a team of 50.
FUJIFILM North America Corporation, a marketing subsidiary of FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation, consists of six operating divisions.
The Imaging Division provides consumer and commercial photographic products and services, including silver halide consumables; inkjet consumables; digital printing equipment, along with service and support; personalized photo products fulfillment; film; one-time-use cameras; and the popular INSTAX® line of instant cameras, smartphone printers, instant film, and accessories .
The Electronic Imaging Division markets its GFX System and X Series lines of mirrorless digital cameras, lenses, and accessories to provide a variety of content creation solutions for both still and moving imagery.
The Optical Devices Division provides optical lenses for broadcast, cinematography, closed circuit television, videography, and industrial markets, and markets binoculars and other optical imaging solutions.
The Graphic Communication Division utilizes its extensive industry knowledge to develop fully supported traditional and digital print solutions for industries including commercial print, wide format, and packaging with its comprehensive line of digital inkjet presses, production toner printers, and software.
The Industrial Products Division delivers new products derived from Fujifilm technologies including data storage tape products, including OEM and FUJIFILM Ultrium LTO cartridges, desalination solutions, microfilters and gas separation membranes.
The Non-Destructive Testing Division delivers radiography solutions to ensure high accuracy inspection of transportation infrastructure, and assets within aerospace, and oil and gas industries.
FNAC-ID Personalized Photo Products Group (PPPG) now makes more than 450 personalized items (such as coffee mugs, posters, framed prints, canvas wall décor and more).
PPPG provides a turnkey, back-end service of producing these items for a variety of retail and online customers.

Responsibilities

Drives initiatives and communicates with the employees of the Production departments to meet the daily needs of the operation in a timely and effective manner.
Evaluates customer forecasts to ensure proper scheduling to maximize throughput, meet customer SLA, and minimize overtime.
Evaluate and standardize procedures and apply Lean principles to improve employee efficiency.
Effectively responds and communicates in a timely manner with all appropriate customers both internal and external.
Works closely with the Operations Manager to oversee the completion of projects and ensure all needs are completed within budget and timelines.
Works on-site in Portland, OR reporting to the Operations Manager, work with Portland and all the support teams in Greenwood, such as Quality, R&D, Systems Engineering, Material Management, Finance, etc., to lead the execution of the production plans required for the Portland operation.
Direct, supervise, and coach the staff, providing guidance to oversee all aspects of the manufacturing environment.
Encourages and champions an atmosphere of Continuous Improvemen t by fostering an environment with the teams working together to act with intentional inclusion and participation of all team members within Production.
Responsible for assisting in formulating plans addressing constraints, obstacles or other challenges that may significantly impact attainment of ongoing business objectives.
Participate in periodic management review meetings, including making presentations on issues, concerns, and successes.
Ensure that all Environmental Health and Safety standards are being followed, including required training and the proper use of personal protective equipment, as needed.

Required Skills/Education

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) with some college and 5-7 years' work experience in processes, procedures associated with production and at least 3 years in a supervisory role in a fast paced and highly competitive operational and / or manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles including 5S, root cause, waste, and Gemba.
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to travel to other corporate sites and industry-related training/events.
Flexibility as it relates to scheduling.
Desired Skills

College degree in an associated field.
5+ years of increasing responsibilities in Leadership in a manufacturing setting.
Demonstrated project planning and project management skills.
Green Belt in Lean Manufacturing Principles.
