Job Summary The Production Operator plays a vital role in the manufacturing process, ensuring quality and efficiency in production, cleaning, packaging, and other related activities. This position involves operating equipment, maintaining cleanliness, adhering to safety protocols, and performing other duties to support manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities Manufacturing Accurately weigh ingredients as per batch records. Load materials and products onto manufacturing equipment. Set up, operate, and monitor equipment, including blenders, granulators, and mills. Stage utensils and equipment for manufacturing tasks. Load products onto trays for drying processes. Assist with product milling and other production tasks. Cleaning Perform cleaning of equipment before and after use. Maintain cleanliness of manufacturing rooms and the warehouse. Packaging and Labeling Weigh and package finished products. Apply labels accurately to packaged containers. Procedures Follow written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all stages of production. Adhere to hygiene and safety protocols. Document equipment cleaning on appropriate logs. Other Responsibilities Operate a forklift for material handling (training provided if needed). Prepare trays, cartons, and drums for packing. Collect and dispose of trash appropriately. Cross-train to provide backup for shipping and receiving tasks. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: High school diploma required; Associate's or Trade degree is a plus. Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Skills & Certifications: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain certification). Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Comfortable with physical tasks, including safely lifting up to 50 lbs.
