This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship. As the Production Planning Coordinator, you will create schedules for production lines across the factory that balance demand with supply while optimizing costs and delivering goods and services on time. You will proactively communicate and coordinate with other factories, the procurement team and external vendors to monitor, assess and acquire packaging supplies to support the production schedule. In this role, you will utilize standard processes and a continuous improvement mindset to track inventory levels and analyze material usage.
The first several months of this position will require travel (approximately 50%) for training purposes to other Nestle Purina factory locations. There will be little to no travel required once the Williamsburg Township facility is operational. ResponsibilitiesCreate the schedule for production lines, monitor adherence and make adjustments as needed using an enterprise resource planning system (SAP) and other digital tools.Communicate and schedule material needs for sibling factory shipment of finished goods.Collaborate with Transportation team and Warehouse teams to manage incoming shipment logistics.Coordinate with vendors to acquire packing materials in line with production scheduling needs.Maintain master data of each material type including but not limited to lead time, vendor information and safety stocks.Create and maintain bills of materials (BOM) for finished goods produced within the factory.Collaborate within cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for waste reduction and efficiency improvements.RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent.1+ year of experience working in production planning, inventory and/or scheduling in a manufacturing, warehouse, military or related environment.The approximate pay range for this position is $43,000 - $58,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
