We have an opportunity for a Production Supervisor on day shift and another opportunity on afternoon shift.
These positions are responsible for supervising employees in a lean manufacturing environment.
You will coach, assist, and coordinate the production efforts necessary to deliver quality products in a safe and efficient manner to meet the production schedule.
You will serve as a crucial link between operative employees and management.
The day shift position will supervise a team that works Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 3:30pm and the afternoon position will supervise a team that works the hours 3:30pm - 12:00am and an occasional Saturday.
Production Supervisor Essential Responsibilities:
* Oversee the production, manning and day to day manufacturing operations to achieve production goals.
* Ensure a safe and clean work area and adhere to the company quality and environmental policies.
* Work closely with employees to ensure the policy and procedures are being followed.
* Train, counsel and manage hourly employee performance.
* Foster a positive and respectful environment and resolve conflict as needed.
* Identify, support, and/or manage continuous improvement initiatives.
Production Supervisor Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong communication skills and people oriented.
* Able to handle multiple competing tasks and priorities and perform quality work efficiently with minimal supervision scheduling employees in a production environment.
* Takes a proactive approach in anticipating, identifying, and solving problems and makes necessary changes so problems do not occur in the future.
* High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
An associates/bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering or similar preferred.
