The Role:
Entegris is currently seeking a Production Supervisor to join our production team in a new production facility in Colorado Springs Colorado. The Production Supervisor position will be responsible for achieving departmental production requirements by focusing on safety, quality, cost, and delivery through the continuous improvement and oversight of the production processes. The Production Supervisor will coordinate cross-functional teams (such as Production Planning, Engineering, Quality,) to meet demanding customers' expectations including the never-ending drive for reduction in variability. The Production Supervisor will develop a daily cross training plan to ensure all production goals are achieved. It is essential that the Production Supervisor reflect a culture where teamwork, innovation, and accountability are of the highest importance.
What You'll Do:
Ensure safe work practices are developed and implemented.
Promote and manage the safety culture with the daily goal of 100 percent adherence to safety protocols.
Monitor work area and adherence to cleanliness expectations including performance of daily workplace audits.
Develop and communicate the plan for training and staffing. Work closely the shift leads on execution of the plan.
Communicate effectively to the team regarding goals and expectations. Collaborate with other supervisors, engineers, and management to ensure the entire production operation is one cohesive unit aligned with respect to short and long-term improvement goals.
Ensure expected output of quality products is achieved. This will include the following tasks:
Investigate and evaluation product quality issues.
Help define methods and corrective actions to solve quality and safety concerns.
Develop standard operating procedures and manufacturing instructions.
Identify, develop, and recommend, procedures for reduction of scrap and rework.
Promote the use of Lean / Sigma Manufacturing concepts including SPC, Kanban replenishment, 6s and standard work.
Use PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act), visual management, schedule attainment, KANBAN, and daily improvement methodologies to monitor and adjust production requirements. The end goal of these adjustments will be to ensure on time shipment with minimal product variation.
Implement and monitor continuous quality improvement activities across the production floor, including waste and cost reduction, and equipment and tool efficiency projects.
Lead tiered daily management meetings to ensure rapid problem resolution and accountability.
Generate and support ideas to innovate and have "fun" at work while meeting demanding production requirements.
Traits we believe make a strong candidate:
5-8 years' experience in a complex production, manufacturing, high-tech assembly, fabrication, service environment, or relevant military experience preferred.
Familiarity with Polymeric membrane formation preferred.
3+ years' of supervisory or leadership experience.
Proven experience driving process improvements (as a process specialist, process technician, manufacturing operator, or other related profession) within a manufacturing environment.
Proven success in managing multiple projects across multiple work cells and teams.
Ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams across multiple groups.
Excellent organizational and planning skills, communication skills and ability to adapt to workforce, work environment and customer needs.
Ability to work a typical first shift schedule with flexibility to work non standards hours including weekends occasionally.
Experience with lean and six sigma methodologies strongly preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field preferred
