Franklin Park, IL., producer of Ice Cream products sold nationwide and even beyond seeks a hands-on Production Supervisor who understand how to effectively manage by using effective leadership and motivational skills coupled with operational maturity. Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise the execution of production and logistics plans through operators and other hourly labor in production.Participate in the development and implementation of plans and policies to ensure compliance in all areas of responsibility.Operate production lines in accordance with FDA guidelines, GMPs, and HACCP/SQF program guidelines.Direct and guide operators and their activities in execution of production.
Responsible for shift change management and communication as well as daily production standards and labor reconciliation.Develop employees to ensure compliance and achieve qualityResolve problems and mitigate operational issues that result in negative performance.Support Lean Training as directed by Plant Manager.Owns regulatory compliance and food safety process, including proper sanitary condition, allergen control, pest control, food safety policy, employee safety policies and procedures.Support and execute relevant projects as needed. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferredMinimum 2 years' experiencePrevious ice cream manufacturing experience a plusUnderstanding of GMP principlesProcess, packing, and mechanical experience strongly preferredExperience managing people, with ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization Basic Qualifications: Strong verbal and written communication skills.Effective time management.Demonstrated ability to manage complexity.Bi-lingual, English, Spanish preferred.Independent, self-sufficient with a strong sense of urgency.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $70,000.00 per year plus benefits
