The Role
As a Production Supervisor for Product Company Indiana, you will strive to provide efficient and effective support to operational staff and the organization to satisfy customer orders and achieve production goals.
You will work in a fast-paced environment and be expected to drive success through critical thinking, problem solving, communication, and action.
With the support of other teams within the Product Company, you will focus on adhering to safety and environmental policies, improving product quality, managing assigned personnel to achieve daily targets, driving efficiency in the operations, and developing a winning team.
Position Responsibilities:
* Supervising operations within a facility to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs)
* Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and professional standards within a facility
* Driving quality into the processes and products with a continuous improvement mindset
* Planning, organizing, monitoring, and prioritizing tasks to meet customer deadlines and production targets
* Coordinating material flow and ensuring inventory accuracy through timely and accurate transactions
* Resolving production issues within your control in the moment and escalating with clear communication immediately when issues are outside of your control
* Ensuring facilities, production work cells, tools, and equipment are properly maintained
* Maintaining training records and organizing training and educational manuals for the production team
* Coaching, guiding, and developing employees to achieve their career goals
* Assisting in the recruitment and onboarding of new hires
* Evaluating various stations of the production operation to ensure optimum efficiency
* Maintaining communication between employees and senior executives to ensure procedures and policies are well-understood
* Communicating with support departments and leadership to maintain customer commitments

What we expect of you?
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree in operational leadership, engineering, or business.
Equivalent and successful work experience in a manufacturing leadership role is acceptable.
(High School Diploma or GED Required)
* 3+ years of experience in a high paced manufacturing environment preferred
* Experience in industrial product manufacturing and assembly is highly preferred
* Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies
* Working knowledge of vacuum pumps design, manufacture and maintenance is highly beneficial
Required Skills and Knowledge:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong skillset to lead and motivate employees, build and maintain positive employee relations
* Strong integrity and accountability for safety, environmental, and quality standards
* Time management and organizational skills
* Ability to read and interpret blue prints
* Functional understanding of mechanical tools and equipment
* Fuctional understanding of measurement tools and devices
* Proficiency in Microsoft applications
* Proficiency in business enterprise systems and/or warehouse management systems
* Ability to quickly read and interpret information and data
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Able to bend, stand and lift up to 40 lbs.
* Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed to meet production targets
