A law firm in Indianapolis, IN, seeks a highly skilled Professional Licensing Defense Attorney to represent clients in various healthcare fields. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of licensing laws and regulations, a strong litigation background, and a proven track record of successfully defending professionals in administrative and disciplinary proceedings.
Duties:
Represent clients in administrative hearings, disciplinary proceedings, and appeals related to professional licensing issues.
Develop and execute comprehensive defense strategies tailored to each client's unique situation.
Conduct thorough legal research and stay updated on licensing laws and regulations changes.
Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
Provide expert advice and counsel to clients regarding compliance with licensing requirements and regulations.
Negotiate settlements and alternative resolutions with licensing boards and regulatory agencies.
Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure high-quality legal representation.
Maintain detailed case records and documentation.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Preferably a licensed healthcare provider.
Active license to practice law in Indiana.
5+ years of experience in professional licensing defense or related legal field preferred.
Strong understanding of administrative law and regulatory compliance.
Proven track record of successful case outcomes in licensing defense.
Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Experience representing clients in healthcare, legal, real estate, or other regulated industries preferred.
Familiarity with state and federal licensing boards and regulatory agencies desired.
Experience in negotiating settlements and alternative dispute resolutions ideal.
Education and Certifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in Indiana.
