Our client, a private, independent organization, centered on higher education and practical learning, is seeking a Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator undertakes a variety of administrative and program management tasks in support of the programming offered.
Program Coordinator Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with partner institutions and state agencies. Research, develop, and implement new programs and services and expand existing programs and services to meet admissions, retention, and financial aid goals. Consult with government regulatory and licensing agencies to ensure the program's conformance with applicable standards. Develop curricula and instructional materials, such as lesson plans, handouts, or examinations, as necessary. Plan and implement curricula, and evaluate program quality. Develop master course documentation or manuals according to applicable accreditation, certification, or other requirements. Determine course schedules, and coordinate teaching assignments and room assignments to ensure optimum use of buildings and equipment. Recruit and hire instructors for certificate programs and other educational partners for credit-bearing courses. Conduct teacher training programs to advise educators on curricula, instructional methods, or policies. Lead student recruitment, selection, and admission. Make financial aid recommendations, as necessary. Enforce rules or policies governing student behavior. Maintain budget and track expenditures/transactions, as appropriate. Review applicable policies and procedures, research issues, analyze institutional data, prepare reports, and make recommendations for process improvement. In concert with the Director of Communications, develop communications through various media relations, social media, etc. Work as a member of the team on growing the organization's programs and enrollment. Help build positive relations within the team and external parties. Program Coordinator Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communication, Education or a related field required. Experience or knowledge of funding sources to support educational programs. Ability to supervise staff. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy are required. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to create partnerships with clinical sites and community partners. A proven ability to handle confidential information, manage multiple priorities, and work independently are essential. Must be able to take initiative and use creativity to complete tasks.
