Job Description

The Red Gate Group is looking for a mid-level Project Accountant to join our team in Chantilly, VA. In this role, you will play an essential part in managing the financial health of our projects, collaborating closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure alignment with budgetary goals and contract requirements. This position involves budgeting, expense tracking, financial analysis, reporting, and compliance, requiring a keen eye for detail and proactive risk management.

This is a hybrid position - 1 day on-site

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain project budgets with project managers and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with contract requirements.
Provide regular financial reports and cash flow forecasts, monitoring and analyzing costs versus budget.
Track all project-related expenditures and collaborate on potential cost-saving measures.
Oversee billing and revenue recognition based on project milestones, ensuring accurate revenue recording.
Ensure contract compliance and proactively manage financial risks to enhance profitability and financial stability.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong skills in financial planning, budgeting, and cost control, with experience in financial reporting and analysis.
Excellent organizational skills, with a commitment to ensuring financial compliance and minimizing risk.
