The Project Assistant II is responsible for providing project administrative support in a healthcare clinical operations environment for multiple contracts/programs/customers including supporting the development of business-specific documents. Healthcare business-specific documents may include but are not limited to, manuals, reports, spreadsheets, graphs, PowerPoint presentations, and educational materials. This role will report to the division Director level supporting all areas of the business unit. This role will assist and lead multiple projects at one time, including conducting departmental improvement efforts.
Work will take place within business hours no earlier than 7:30 am and no later than 5 pm. There is a monthly in-office day at the West Des Moines, IA location. Additional days in the office will be rare but requested as needed.
\n Essential FunctionsWork as a change agent within the Health and Well Being business unit. Work collaboratively and independently with all clinical operational teams to Identify issues and make recommendations for improvement opportunities to drive departmental efficient operations according to contract and/or program requirements and needs. Coordinates documentation from multiple sources. Ensures materials are accurate and in a professional format according to contract/program requirements. Communicates professionally with internal/external customers.Work with external departments when needed on resolution of barriers to process improvement initiatives.Works in collaboration with other internal project assistants assigned to specific business unit functions (CM, DM, UM) with process improvement efforts.Provides ongoing communication within the HWB team regarding project progress updates.Data collection, tracking, and trending of key data points in Excel databases.Create and maintain trend charts for presentation to various audiences. Create PowerPoint presentations and assist with the content of presentations. Manage multiple projects of varying complexity at one time.Create and maintain a master grid of all contract deliverables.Conduct quality or accreditation-required audits.Create, update, and monitor timelinesMaintain organizational charts.Assist other internal departmental project assistants with high-volume work demands. RequirementsTwo-year degree in business, healthcare, or related field and/or equivalent training and/or experience3 – 5 years experience in project administrative supportExperience in process improvement and/or project management Demonstrated ability working with confidential information and in a deadline-driven environmentDemonstrated ability to effectively multi-task and problem-solve. Preferred Skills and CertificationsLEAN Yellow Belt - HealthcareHealthcare certification or licensure (LPN) Healthcare operations Healthcare quality management background Healthcare accreditation background Healthcare auditing experience Experience in managed healthcare, or healthcare insurance setting
