DIS-TRAN Steel is looking for a Project Coordinator to join the team in Pineville at the Crest Corporate offices on 28 East.  The Project Coordinator serves as the main point of contact for DIS-TRAN Steel customers and serves as the liaison between business and technical aspects of projects. This position is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring a variety of projects; assists engineering and technical staff to ensure that project schedules and the overall scope of projects are met. The Project Coordinator analyzes, documents, and communicates job requirements to teams at the corporate office and at the DIS-TRAN Plant.
\n COMPETENCIES:Customer FocusDecision QualityBusiness InsightDrives ResultsCollaboratesCommunicates EffectivelyCourageInstills TrustManages Ambiguity RESPONSIBILITIES:Serves as the primary point of contact for customers regarding projectsAdheres to project plans, including project scope, goals, tasks, resources, schedules, contingencies, or other project information, and ensures all project specifications are metSets project schedule; manages any alterations to the project scheduleMaintains the project folder for each individual project; verifies that all pertinent information is present in the folderAnalyzes and communicates project requirements to all involved departments, including detailing, BOM, engineering, and the plantUpdates Epicor with any project revisions or project schedule changesObtains information regarding the anchor bolt requirements and orders project-specific anchor boltsSubmits calculation and drawing packages for customer approvalMonitors and tracks project milestones and deliverablesProvides verbal or written project status reports to project teams, management, and/or customersCoordinates customer plant visitsPrepares and reviews fabrication drawings for fabrication-only projectsCoordinates with the shipping department on large-scale deliveriesAssists in the resolution of issues reported from the fieldAssists in the resolution of issues reported from the plant REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering Technology or a related field is preferred; a satisfactory combination of education, training, and/or experience will be consideredExcellent communication and organizational skills are requiredCapacity to read and understand fabrication drawings is requiredSuperb customer service skills are requiredExceptional time management skills are requiredPerforming quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision is requiredProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook is requiredExperience in the steel fabrication industry is preferredEpicor experience is preferred
