CBRE is seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager to support sustainability-related project planning, management, and execution activitiesfor CBRE's Worldwide Real Estate (WWRE) team. The Project Manager's primary areas of focus are the WWRE Net Zero Carbon (NZC) and Onsite Renewable Energy (RE) programs. These programs reduce carbon emissions across CBRE's global Operations (Ops) facilities to support the Climate Pledge goal of NZC by 2040. The programs have a global impact, and leverage CBRE's subject matter experts and external vendors.Though the programs span global regions, the primary focus of the role is to support program execution in North America. A Seattle or PST-based role is preferred.
The Project Manager will partner with WWRE's customer and stakeholder teams to verify and track business needs, drive collaboration, manage project reporting through written updates, establish and track metrics, and mitigate project risks.The successful candidate will be a natural self-starter, and invent and simplify where needed (such as improving reporting and tracking mechanisms, or optimizing work flows and other project resources). The role requires an individual adept at navigating ambiguity and conflicting priorities who can earn trust with global teams and maintain a high level of integrity.
The ideal candidate will haveexperience managing projects that span technical and non-technical teams, maintaining schedule and milestone trackers, and providing weekly, data-driven status updates to all levels of technical acumen and leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Track and report on project and program performance, key metrics, and improvements / lessons learned through dashboards, newsletters, and white paper contributions
Scope, validate, and establish project initiatives and plans that solve group or stakeholder challenges that have been prioritized to be solved
Execute individual and team projects, anticipating project risks with mitigation plans
Facilitate/run weekly alignment meetings on program-specific updates
Drive visualization and dashboarding of key metrics to a single-source-of-truth
Initiate/facilitate major project kick-offs and drive execution until completion and handoff
Drive/follow up on project line item and milestone-level delays
Collects inputs and coordinates with stakeholders (Sustainability Operations, Construction, Design & Engineering, Worldwide Sustainability, Finance, etc.)
Report out regular project updates to Program Leads, and escalate milestone-level project issues that are impacting project schedules
Innovate and drive better Project Management tools, systems, and processes
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Business or related field
Experience managing projects and interacting with cross-functional teams
2-5 years of experience in complex project management and implementation with proven ability to design workable solutions and drive projects to successful implementation
Experience leading large-scale projects and programs
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Superior written and verbal communication skills including proven ability to effectively manage, influence, negotiate, and communicate with external business partners and internal teams
Proficient in project management software (such as Asana or Jira) and Microsoft Office
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
MBA or Master's Degree or other advanced degree in in Construction, Architecture, Engineering or related field Fulfillment/Distribution design, planning, execution experience
Proficient in dashboarding and visualization tools like QuickSight or Tableau
LEED Green Associate (GA) certification
Ability to manage a team of internal subject matter expert stakeholders and external vendors
Experience with sustainable building standards and design processes
CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Program Manager – Global Realty position is $110,000.00 annually [or $52.88 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Program Manager – Global Realty position is $120,000.00 annually [or $57.69 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
