Halff has an immediate opening for a Roadway Engineer, with a Texas PE License, to be a Project Manager with our Roadway / Transportation team based out of our Richardson, TX office.
The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 5 years of experience in TxDOT advance planning, schematic and/or environmental projects in the consulting industry.
The successful candidate should have experience working on multi-discipline TxDOT projects and be able to oversee/lead transportation planning project development.
In addition to project delivery responsibilities, candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage personnel, budgets, schedule and sub consultants.

Project Manager (PE) - TxDOT Advance Planning / Schematic / Environmental Responsibilities: Works closely with the Transportation Team Leader in the development and delivery of TxDOT transportation advance planning, schematic and/or environmental design projects Performs complex transportation engineering tasks and leads other professional staff in the development of transportation projects Manages other consultant teams and the workload of design staff including Engineers, EIT's, and technical staff that contribute to the growth and safety of Texas roadways Coordinate with clients and lead delivery of transportation planning project development. Manage personnel, budgets, schedules, sub consultants and client interaction. Work closely with the region's transportation director and transportation practice leader in business development activities.
Project Manager (PE) - TxDOT Advance Planning / Schematic / Environmental Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree Minimum of 5 years of Department of Transportation (DOT) project experience A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in advance planning, schematic and/or environmental design project delivery Professional Engineer (PE) License in Texas Ability to manage multiple projects, and supervise technical staff Strong communication skills, both written and verbal A positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity and success.
