The Position: Censeo seeks an energetic, self-motivated, and flexible individual for the role of Proposal Coordinator to support our Business Development team as the firm grows. The Proposal Coordinator organizes, coordinates, and helps execute business development activities across Censeo to ensure the company's growth strategy is implemented in a well-coordinated, timely, and efficient manner.
Responsibilities: Supports the proposal development process, including developing proposal templates, establishing deadlines, collecting information from technical writers, drafting non-technical content, and editing proposal drafts.Manages and regularly updates the opportunity tracking dashboard within SharePoint; proactively identifies risks when delays occur and mitigates accordingly.Schedules and facilitates meetings with partner companies.Identifies new potential opportunities through open-source research and monitoring government websites.Works with the business development team to develop action plans for capturing opportunities.Manages and coordinates business development collateral, working closely with Marketing on material and social media content development.Continuously identifies and introduces process improvements to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.Facilitates other aspects of business development including managing proposal documents on SharePoint, maintaining a database of partner firms, alerting partners of new opportunities, and evaluating partners' capabilities and interest in opportunities.The Ideal Candidate: At Censeo, we are looking for unique candidates whose passion and enthusiasm will help shape Censeo's client insights and workplace culture. The ideal candidate would have:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business, communications, English, or journalism, etc).0-1 years of business experience (internships count) preferably with direct exposure to Federal government business development, marketing, or proposal development.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of tools, including Word and SharePoint.Experience collaborating with team members and comfortable being the point person for coordinating team efforts.Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.Strong written communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and succinctly.Ability to quickly and effectively learn new tools.Strong organization and time management skills.Demonstrated experience in a deadline-oriented environment.The Location: Censeo Consulting Group is based in Washington D.C., a fantastic city for working professionals. We work in a hybrid setting with flexibility to work from home and work in our office conveniently located in the heart of downtown, just a few blocks away from the White House. And with many of our clients also based in D.C., we have the luxury of leaving for a meeting and being back in the office in time for post-work happy hours, team dinners, and game nights.
