Right now, we are looking to hire a Purchasing Agent, based out of our Fort St. John office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Process orders from start to finish, following procedures and ensuring proper communication. Confirm delivery details, enter parts into the system, and keep data error-free.Conduct product research for pricing, availability, and sourcing. Track and communicate all backorders efficiently.Pick orders, assist in receiving to gain knowledge, and off-load freight as needed. Arrange loading and transport of materials.Pursue cost savings opportunities and follow inventory control procedures.Maintain relationships with vendors and field staff. Assist the shipping and receiving department.Adhere to company health, safety, and environmental practices. Attend Safety Meetings regularly.Qualifications Required: Demonstrate problem solving and decision-making skills.Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.Must be an effective listener with effective communication skills both written and verbal.Must be organized and have the ability to manage a variety of time-sensitive tasks at one time.Must have experience with Excel, Word, Outlook.Participation in On Call Schedule.Why CDN?
