Organization: SC Purchasing
Job Summary: Assists in placing and expediting orders and obtains quotes/bids under occasional guidance. Resolves problems relating to the procurement of equipment, supplies, and services. Creates purchase orders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Assists customers to clarify requirements and proposes sourcing options. Evaluates and recommends the best sourcing solution. Performs cost comparisons related to proposals. Compares prices, verifies specifications, delivery dates, and other information to facilitate purchasing decisions. Processes purchase orders and issues purchase orders, expedites deliveries, and resolves receiving and invoicing problems. Prepares and processes purchase orders. Assists with resolving problems related to invoicing and receiving. The responsibilities listed are a general overview of the position and additional duties may be assigned. Handles supplier-related activities, requests for pricing, and purchases of goods and services while ensuring appropriate costs, schedules, quality, deliveries, terms, and conditions.
