Our Organization and Mission: The Office represents the State of Florida in state and federal civil and criminal courts, from trial courts to the Supreme Court of the United States.
Position Summary: This position is in the Office of the Attorney General within the Administrative Services Unit in Tallahassee, Florida. This position is responsible for all aspects of agency purchasing from procurement through payment and contracts from development to close out. Areas of responsibility include purchasing, complex solicitations and contracts, and other duties relating to the responsibilities of the Bureau of General Services and customer support.
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 Annually
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of two (2) years of procurement experience which may include routing purchases, My Florida Market Place, contracts, competitive solicitations, project management, or related business field; or
Six (6) years of professional or paraprofessional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
Knowledge of State of Florida purchasing statutes and rules.
Preferred Qualifications:
Florida Certified Contract Manager (FCCM). Florida Certified Contract Negotiator (FCCN).
One (1) year or more of direct experience using MFMP (e.g., creating, reviewing, approving, submitting purchase requisitions). Experience must be reflected and detailed on your state application.

The Work You Will Do: This position is responsible for all aspects of agency purchasing from procurement through payment and contracts from development to close out. Areas of responsibility include purchasing, complex solicitations and contracts, and other duties relating to the responsibilities of the Bureau of General Services and customer support. This position reports to the Purchasing General Services Manager (GSM). Provides assistance to the GSM for special projects and serves as the lead in managers absence. Assists with human resources functions for the business unit such as applicant screening, interviews, and candidate selection. Incumbent must work efficiently and effectively to ensure timely and accurate performance of all duties.
PURCHASING– Lead position for all aspects of agency purchasing which includes, but is not limited to, conducting research to determine the availability, location, distribution, structure and pricing of commodities and services for the agency. Conducts and supports the operations of the Purchasing Desk, agency purchasing application, MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP), MFMP Administrator, state purchasing card, and FLAIR. Reviews and processes purchase requisitions/orders in a timely manner, ensuring they are complete, accurate, and in compliance with all purchasing policies, rules and regulations. Answers questions and resolves any issues pertaining to purchasing.
SOLICITATIONS– This position will serve as a Procurement Officer, Evaluator and/or Negotiator for agency solicitations. This includes researching and compiling information necessary for the analysis and development of standards and specifications; analyzing, developing, and preparing documentation for requests for quotes, single source, exceptional purchases, alternative contracts, and solicitations (ITB, RFP, ITN); and organizing and conducting public meetings in connection with solicitations. Maintains files for solicitations and other projects complying with all statutes, rules, and agency policies, and procedures.
CONTRACTS– Lead position responsible for all aspects of contracting which includes, but is not limited to, creating, administering, managing, monitoring, and closing contracts. Answers questions and resolves any issues pertaining to contracts. Maintains the database for all contracts prepared by the bureau.
Assists in the development and implementation of policies, procedures and strategies pertaining to Purchasing.
Provide high level research and customer support to agency staff and outside vendors/contractors.
Provides training to General Services staff related to purchasing, procurements, contracts, and CTRS.
Provides training to Agency staff related to purchasing such as purchase requisition creation and approval process, and the processing of PCard approvals in Works.
Executes and manages special projects/assignments as required.
