Position Summary:

The Purchasing Manager will direct and lead a procurement team to manage HealthPoint's sourcing capabilities and supply chain.
They are responsible for strategizing and negotiating with suppliers and vendors to acquire the most cost-effective deals and reduce procurement expenses.
They will ensure quality control and adherence to company policies and procurements on supply chain management and financial procurement best practices.


Compensation is dependent on skills and experience. Your contribution to the team includes: Develop procurement strategies that are inventive, cost-effective, standardized, and improve user-end experience.
Oversee central supply warehouse operations including workflows, inventory management, and safety.
Review and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
This is executed by overseeing sourcing, engaging with reliable suppliers and vendors, and maintaining strong partnerships with vendors.
Develop workflows for purchasing, receiving, and managing inventory of supplies and equipment purchased centrally and at the clinic sites.
Monitor and assess budget variances both centrally in administration and at the site clinic level.
Develop and monitor financial controls for ordering and receiving supplies which includes driving contract compliance at the site level.
Provide internal customer service to Medical, /Dental as well as Pharmacy by explaining policies and procedures.
Identify technology and process system issues by working with staff and vendors to resolve deficits in service.
Oversee and manage the IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and supply of goods.
Responsible for hiring, performance management, talent development, employee relations, recognition, and training of staff by providing effective leadership.
Ensure all work is completed in support and enhancement of the objectives and goals of the organization.
Conduct department operations using HealthPoint's LEAN Management System methodologies to identify waste, determine system improvements, and implement changes through a structured process.
Maintain good attendance, is punctual and works full scheduled shift is a condition of employment.
Demonstrate respectful, professional, and appropriate behavior that supports a team-oriented work environment.
Demonstrate a commitment to the mission, core values and goals of HealthPoint and its healthcare delivery including the ability to integrate values of justice, respect, compassion, excellence and stewardship into appropriate programs and services.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Develop relations with vendors and HealthPoint site management.
Attend staff meetings, in-service meetings and participate in agency committees and task force activities as required.
Must have's you'll need to be successful: High School Diploma/GED, Bachelor's Degree, MBA/MSCM (Master's of Supply Chain Management), and three (3) to five (5) years' experience in supply chain, purchasing, and procurement or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common industry related journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Ability to write reports and articles for publication that conforms to prescribed style and format.
Ability to effectively present information to top management, clients, external groups, and/or boards of directors.
The ability to define problems, collect data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction.
Constructive thinking and alternative short-to long-term solutions must be considered.
Action plans must be developed and implemented.
Knowledge of computer equipment and intermediate level of Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
Knowledge of Procurement Management Software strongly preferred.
Programming skills preferred.
Procurement and Supply Chain Management Certification Proof of vaccination for COVID-19 is required, prior to start.
HealthPoint does not accept the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine as proof of vaccination.

All new employees are also required to show proof of immunizations and/or immunity to MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Varicella, annual Influenza and TB QuantiFERON Gold Titer.
Additionally, if you work in a HealthPoint clinic, Tdap (within last 10 years) is required.
Hepatitis B. is required for clinical employees with potential exposure to blood/blood products.
All immunizations are a condition of employment.
Upon hire, employees must provide proof of their immunizations and/or immune titer results prior to starting or no later than their fifth (5) business day of employment.
