POSITION SUMMARY Performs auditing function for all EAMS processes/procedures throughout the facility.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Primary Assists Manager Quality Assurance with creating internal audit checklists.Planning and conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with aviation regulations and customer requirements.Coordinates with all external auditors performing quality audits of EAMS.Evaluating operational processes to identify areas of improvement and compliance issues.Preparing detailed audit reports and presenting findings to management.Monitoring corrective actions and ensuring they are effectively implemented.Assisting in the investigation of incidents and accidents to identify root causes and preventive measuresMaintains list of approved vendors. Secondary Provide guidance and training to staff on quality assurance matters.Keep up-to-date with changes in aviation regulations and industry standards.Participate in safety and quality meetings and workshops.Recommend company policies and procedures to reflect current best practices and regulatory requirements. ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Education: A&P Certificate - PreferredHigh School Diploma required, A.S. / B.S. Degree in Aviation preferred Experience: Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9001 / C.A.S.E.-1A preferredPrefer three years' experience as an aircraft inspector or auditorPractical experience with quality audit procedures (may be met by formal auditor training, prior experience as an auditor, or a minimum of 40 hours auditor experience with documented On-the-Job Training (OJT) by a qualified auditor). Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge of safety and operating procedures while working around aircraft and while working around component maintenance shops.Knowledgeable of the following applicable regulations: FAA; NFPA; OSHA.Ability to understand company SOP's and customer GMM's.
