Resolute Performance Iron is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to support our AISC certified fabrication facility in Phoenix, AZ. The Quality Assurance Manager position is responsible for the total Quality Management Program and assures that each project's performance meets contract and AISC requirements. This position administers the Resolute Performance Iron QC/QA plan and reports directly to the Director of Operations and the Division Manager. This position has full responsibility for assuring contract and AISC objectives and standards are met.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop plans and procedures for all QC programsImplement Quality Assurance plans and procedures to maintain AISC complianceManage all applicable submittal processes as required by AISCCompile all necessary inspection reports and documentation as per AISC standard practices for each project's record keepingRecognize and implement any additional training for shop personnel with the intent to continually strive for quality excellenceMonitor and control all non-conformance reports and undertake all required remedial actionsReport all issues, problems, accomplishments, results of surveys, inspections, meetings and observations relating to the performance of Resolute Performance Iron shop quality to the Director of Operations or the Division ManagerEnsure all technical documents relative to Resolute Performance Iron quality control are of current statusOccasional visits to outsourced fabricators to do quality control inspections QualificationsAbility to read and interpret design drawings and fully understand steel shop assembly drawingsPossess a good understanding of the following publications:AWS D1.1, AWS D1.2, AWS D1.3, AWS D1.4, AWS D1.6AISC Code of Standard PracticeASTM codes related to structural steelSSPC Manuals 1 & 2Must have +5 years of steel fabrication experience in preparing and enforcing Quality Control programs per AISC guidelinesKnowledge of weld symbolsEnsure that all welds are per Resolute Performance Iron PQR/WPSExperience with Word, Excel, Bluebeam, and Tekla EPM Additional InformationOffice and shop location are in Phoenix, AZ however travel will be necessary???????We are an Equal Opportunity Employer - M/F/D/V.
