We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Manager to lead and manage the full quality control program within our medium-sized manufacturing operation, consisting of approximately 100 employees.
This position will oversee a dedicated quality team, including one Quality Engineer and three inspectors, ensuring compliance with industry standards and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure all production processes meet ISO 9001:2015 certification requirementsProactively investigate and resolve quality issues and customer complaints, ensuring a high level of customer serviceSupervise inspection and testing activities to maintain productivity and accuracyAnalyze statistical data and product specifications to establish robust quality standards and product reliability expectationsProvide technical expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams and leadership to drive continuous improvement effortsMaintain and manage the ISO 9001 certification process, including documenting and upholding quality control standards and objectivesCollaborate with production management to align quality objectives with operational procedures, optimizing product reliability while minimizing costsDevelop, document, and implement thorough inspection criteria and proceduresCommunicate the organization's quality control philosophy across all levels to promote a strong culture of qualityOversee inspection activities throughout the production cycle, ensuring compliance with established standardsUtilize total quality management tools and methodologies to improve analytical and reporting processesWork closely with vendors to resolve issues related to non-conforming parts and ensure the quality of purchased materialsLead and participate actively in internal continuous improvement initiativesDesign and implement comprehensive quality control training programs for staffContribute to the company's overall safety management program and identify opportunities for improvement within the departmentQualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered6-10 years of experience in quality management, ideally in a manufacturing environmentSix Sigma Green or Black Belt certification preferred; strong knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies requiredProven leadership experience, with demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and train teamsStrong problem-solving skills and experience in root cause analysisMust be authorized to work in the US without sponsorshipJob Type: Full-time, direct hire
Salary Range: $90,000 - $125,000 per year
