ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Our manufacturing company is seeking a Quality Control Technician who can test, document, troubleshoot, and prepare our products for shipping. The successful candidate will have a creative, innovative approach to their work and will never shy away from offering frank observations and recommendations. We are looking for a highly organized, methodical, and detail oriented professional with the experience necessary to take our products to the next level in accordance with our QEHS policy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Inspect raw materials to ensure consistency and integrity Maintain, test, and troubleshoot all instrumentation devices Test a certain percentage of all products based on industry standards Report problems related to our QEHS policy to senior management Manage our quality assurance division Create an effective, efficient testing protocol to be used across all product lines Inspect or measure materials or products in production Operate inspection equipment Accept or reject finished or raw products Remove all product and /or materials that fail to meet specifications Report inspections and test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, moisture content, and quality QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High School diploma or GED required. 1-2 years of experience preferred In-depth understanding of company standards preferred Up-to-date knowledge of federal and industry standards and best practices Good written and verbal communication skills Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Keen attention to detail Basic computer and math skills to calibrate and measure specifications Ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, calipers, and computers Documentation and reporting skills Teamwork and collaboration Comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time
