The University of Rochester Clinical & Translational Science Institute (CTSI) supports researchers to help them produce results better and faster, to ultimately improve the health of communities and populations. CTSI develops and disseminates approaches to advance translational research, through workforce education and training, fostering multidisciplinary teams, improving quality and efficiency, and engaging community and national stakeholders in research.
Here is an opportunity to join the growing CTSI Quality team to support initiatives to transform and accelerate clinical research.
The Quality Improvement Specialist is responsible for facilitating Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and managing program utilization data across CTSI. The Quality Improvement Specialist will manage quality data collection and analysis, reporting to CTSI leadership to support decisions on day-to-day operations, strategic planning and specific business performance issues and improvements related to CQI.
The Quality Improvement Specialist functions as the CQI expert for the CTSI including training staff and developing and refining quality methods. They act as a resource for colleagues and leadership within the CTSI and across the institutional portfolio, specifically related to CQI training and expertise.
This position requires:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 2 years of data analysis Experience with implementation of Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives The ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and effectively present complex information to a variety of audiences Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research techniques, data analysis and management Strong understanding of statistical analysis and predictive modeling, using visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar The University of Rochester is committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion to advance the University's mission to Learn, Discover, Heal, Create – and Make the World Ever Better.
