As our Quality Inspector, you will be a part of a team responsible for working closely with management, co-workers, and vendors to meet production requirements. You will support the lean process to promote cost reductions and maximize profitable growth, provide excellent customer service and quality, and promote continual improvement and safety. Qualifications & Requirements: High School or GED required Knowledge of precision measuring equipment, calibration of measuring instruments, good manufacturing practices, engineering drawings, and customer specifications/requirements 3+ years of work experience as QC Inspector Technician in electronic and interconnect industries preferred Excellent communication and computer skills Organized, self-directed, thorough, attention to detail, sound analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize on a daily basis Ability to independently complete all assigned tasks and daily routine with minimal supervision Experience with using SmartScope, micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, multimeter testers, and other various inspection tools to complete in-process and final inspection of precision machined components and finished parts Ability to create FAI and final inspection reports via computer inspection software Document inspection results, including deviations and non-conformities, accurately and thoroughly Basic knowledge of IPC Standards and holding IPC certification is highly preferred Our values of Accountability, Collaboration, and Empowerment (ACE) guide our every action, enabling us to serve our customers and ourselves passionately. What will you be Accountable for? Approves in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement inspections Adheres to all applicable Standard of Quality Management Systems and document information Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations Provides feedback to manufacturing personnel regarding process improvements and quality control measures Supports and cultivate a quality mindset among the team and maintains high performances and throughputs How will you Collaborate? The Quality Inspector collaborates across Winchester in a way that leads by example, holds people accountable, and utilizes data to make informed decisions. Work with management, employees, vendors, and customers to have a positive impact on the organization What are you Empowered to do? Support a QMS strategy that aligns with Ruggedized short- & long-term growth goals and compliments all departments Collaborate frequently with other departments to ensure priorities for OTD are met, and customer communication is supported Support the Quality Management team to make informed product and process decisions and improvements. Provide administrative support as needed to the department to ensure efficient operations Leads and promotes Continuous Improvement events and activities Defines, modifies, or improves product flow to improve efficiency and reduce waste Focuses on driving Safety, quality, and productivity Communication Systems We Use: Google Workspace BambooHR Paycom & ADP Awardco Uconnect Global Shop Pay Transparency: Winchester Interconnect Corporation is committed to pay transparency. The pay range for this position is $18hr to $27hr.
