Under general supervision and reporting Quality Management in Quality Operations, The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing visual inspection operations including In-process, Final Inspection, and FAI's as appropriate. The Quality Inspector must be familiar with hand tools and inspection under magnification. The Quality Inspector will also assist in verification of test data and all other applicable data concerning components, and associated documentation and other duties identified by cognizant management.

 
2nd Shift- 2 PM to 10:30 PM M-F Job Responsibilities: IPC 600 & 610 certification and prior hands-on PCBA experience Performs final inspection and receiving inspection (Which includes dimensional, visual inspection, surface finish, and assembly inspection) Reads, interprets, and utilizes Quality policies, procedures, blueprints, and other documentation Processes warehouse materials Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines/procedures to perform the functions of the job Support positive corrective actions and identification of root cause Other duties as assigned. Required Skills CMM Inspection process Knowledge and experience in GD&T (ASME Y14.5) Knowledge and experience with blueprint interpretation Experienced quality individual in dimensional inspection of aerospace machined components Experience in performing FAI's – AS9102 Experience with hand measurement tools MS Outlook, and EXCEL experience Experience with hand measurement gages, conduct conventional inspection to Additional Desired Skills: Strong verbal, written and communication skills Fluent English – reading and writing is required Professionalism, integrity, and exceptional attention to detail Strong independent decision-making skills; excellent analytical skills and professional judgment Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Must be able to simultaneously manage several objectives Must be detail oriented, organized, and self-motivated General Requirements Ability to handle complex situations and solve complex problems Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines Ability to press and analyze technical and business information Ability to work in a team environment with strong communication skills (verbal and written), ability to interact via telephone, email with co-workers Ability to remain seated for up to 5 hours at a time Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment. Establish and maintain effective working relationships Pass pre-hire criminal and MVR background check Additional Qualifications (Preferred): HS Diploma; college/tech school preferred 3+ years' experience as a quality inspector or technician. 3+ years' experience in an aerospace manufacturing facility 3+ years' experience in inspection duties, FAI's GD&T, and b/p interpretation Preferred: Prior practical experience and implementation of Quality inspection tools and equipment. Experience in RCCA, and problem solving Any combination of education and experience may be considered. Establish and maintain effective working relationships Fluent English – reading and writing is required Pass pre-hire background check including DMV and credit screening Pass Pre-hire Drug Screening The General Vision Acuity Test shall be performed by an Oculist, Optometrist, or other professionally recognized person. The following requirements shall apply. Near Vision – Eyes meets Orthorater 8 (95% or Jaeger #2 at 12 inches) Far vision – Eyes meets Orthorater 4 (76%) or Snellen Chart 20/50 Color Perception – 6 of 9 Orthorater plates US or International citizenship or permanent residence status required depending on work location.
