ROLE MISSION 
The Quality Specialist will report directly to the COO and is entrusted with the mission to lead product quality and customer qualification activities, propelling ADVANO to the forefront of innovation in the battery materials and energy storage space, with a specific focus on advancing REALSi commercial use.  
This position will lead the development and implementation of quality programs enabling qualification of REALSi by commercial customers and supporting Advano's overarching business goals and direction. 
Together, we aim to shape the future of energy storage, providing sustainable and impactful solutions that address the evolving needs of our world and establishing ADVANO as a trailblazer in the dynamic landscape of silicon anode technology. 
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE 
Develop framework for ISO program and lead implementation at Advano as project manager. 
Develop and implement the Advano quality management system that meets Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) customer PPAP standards. 
Conduct internal quality audits to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address any deficiencies. 
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish annual quality goals and objectives. 
Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics, identify trends and implement corrective actions as needed. 
Lead investigations into product or process non-conformances, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions. 
Develop and deliver training programs on quality assurance principles, practices, and procedures. 
Oversee the documentation of quality procedures, work instructions, and standard operating procedures. 
Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quality management. 
Bachelor's degree in technical discipline required with 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience in a quality role at an automotive parts supplier 
Six Sigma or other quality certification preferred 
Certified Internal Auditor credentials preferred 
Entrepreneurial "out of the box" thinker who is creative, responsive, flexible, and able to productively challenge business paradigms. 
Excellent written and oral skills for clarity of technical problems and solutions with succinct delivery to management and line workers alike. 
PC skills to include knowledge of MS Office Applications

Work Environment 
This job operates primarily in an office environment with occasional work in laboratory, and pilot plant production/manufacturing environments.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit for extended periods at a desk. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift materials up to 25 pounds.

Travel 
Travel is required for this role up to 10%.
