Bio : The Regional Distribution Manager oversees distribution & logistics (fleet and transportation) operations at all Sazerac locations and 3rd party warehouses in accomplishing production needs within safety, quality, budgetary and regulatory guidelines. Evaluates efficiency and cost; plans, organizes, directs improvements and corrective action plans. Establishes best methods, standard operating procedures and priorities to meet established productivity and quality goals. Meets and exceeds customer expectations.
Drives continuous improvement, develops, executes multi-year productivity targets throughout the network Distribution and Logistics Team. Oversees distribution operations in accomplishing safety, quality, production, budgetary and regulatory guidelines. This includes meeting/exceeding standards for safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Evaluates efficiency and cost; plans, organizes, directs improvements and corrective action plans. Establishes work schedules, best methods, standard operating procedures priorities to meet/exceed customer expectations by delivering product on time within budget and to complete order as specified. Provide support to Sales to ensure products are shipped correctly and on time to meet customer expectations including launch of new products and new distribution. Meet and improve the metric on- time shipment goals as well as order fulfillment goals. Develop Logistic KPIs for Sazerac Transportation to support the company and drive adoption of the KPIs to measure and manage our business. Drive development of systems and processes that measure and deliver value from the customer's point of view. Conducts PDS reviews with Distribution and Logistics Managers to improve skills and performance of all employees in the Distribution Departments at each site. Trains, evaluates and develops Distribution Department employees. Creates and develops a personal development plan with the Director of Manufacturing to improve a skill/competency that will develop personal skills and improve performance Ensure adherence to all Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies and Practices. Analyzes and resolves problems relating to warehouse operation quality. Develop TPM concepts for Distribution Centers with implementation timelines that are in line with the continuous improvement efforts of the department/sites. Develop metrics to track and reduce case damage in the warehouses and transportation. Develop Logistic KPIs for Sazerac Transportation to support the company and drive adoption of the KPIs to measure and manage our business. Establish documentation and implementation of best practices SOPs. Develop, Implement and enforce SOP's and other initiatives including but not limited to WMS process, customer service, housekeeping, cycle counting, breakage. Drive continuous improvement culture within the department/sites. Lead, develop, execute and review best practices, processes and procedures to improve the distribution operation at each site, on all shifts including movement of product from plant to Distribution Centers, receiving, staging, loading, transportation and inventory management. Lead and drive the Distribution Centers and Logistics Teams to be a best-in-class, process-driven organization in a manner consistent with the culture values of the company and ensure that staff members act in a manner consistent with these values. Actively participate in efforts to make the Company a Best Place to Work. Develop logistics and transportation policies and procedures to be used at Sazerac Transportation and to support all Sazerac facilities. Once approved, develop tracking to ensure we are operating under the agreed upon policies and procedures. Drives the DCs to meet and exceed all internal and external customer expectations through management of the Distribution Centers and Logistics Teams to deliver product on time in full across the network. Develops and monitors department KPIs, develops corrective actions and drives improvement. Build a customer service culture within Sazerac Transportation by delivering world class customer service through building/ maintaining professional relationships internally/externally. Support marketing/sales efforts to achieve brand/country/state priorities. Drive efforts to improve delivery, reduce costs and respond quickly to needs of customers. Lead departments efforts to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs to lowest levels possible without compromising service. Leads department in controlling cases per labor hour, targeted inventory, cost per case, inventory loss annually and reducing daily product losses. Develop and achieve results with cost saving projects to reduce logistics costs each year. Track and report these projects on a quarterly basis. Develop and maintain adherence to procedures and systems to manage the logistics and transportation costs at Sazerac Transportation and across the company. Drive costs reductions while balancing service levels. Monitor and enforce all DOT, federal, state and company safety regulations and policies. Leads the implementation of safety programs, procedures and initiatives to ensure safe working environment within respective areas of responsibility. Creates safety culture through development and execution of safe practices and operating procedures to minimize the occurrence and severity of workplace accidents. Lead safety programs for respective areas of responsibility through development and execution of safe practices and operating procedures to minimize the occurrence and severity of work related accidents. Lead the continued implementation of the Automated Storage Retrieval System at TGD and BTD; organize the resources to ensure a smooth implementation that does not interfere with daily operation of the department, including adequate training on the system for all users.
