Under general supervision, but in conformance with established policies and procedures, responsible for the operational integrity of the rural retail market. Ensures external services standards are being met across each market business unit for three or more of the following branches: Scranton, Jefferson, Grand Junction, Boone, or Guthrie Center. Manage, trains, and provides coaching oversight to the daily activities of the rural market's retail team. Direct supervisor of the rural market's retail managers and branch operations staff. Position will report to the Regional Market President who will also provide task allocation and general management direction. Works with market management, retail personnel, and facilities across each rural branch. Partners with various departments to aid in the development of new products, referrals, sales training, or retail processes.
Qualifications Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Management or equivalent experience in job-related field. Strong analytical, organizational, sales, interpersonal and communication skills; positive attitude with team-player approach. Must show a strong willingness to coach and develop a team of professionals. Minimum of 5 years managing multiple teams in a fast-paced environment. Able to work under minimal supervision, prioritize work assignments and be detail oriented. Able to train, coach, navigate disciplinary and performance review conversations. Managing career-pathing or career development mapping experience preferred. Duties and Responsibilities Coordinates the activities of the market's retail team by assigning staff to each branch, assigning various work priorities, training, answering questions, solving problems, helping with complex transactions, and addressing sensitive customer relations problems and explaining policies/procedures to rural retail staff and customers. May assist with resolving cash discrepancies. Provides on-the-job training for retail team on an as-needed basis. Assigns tasks and monitors to ensure personnel awareness of proper bank procedures. Issues written and oral guidelines to team as necessary. Oversees the staffing schedule of the retail market to ensure each branch is staffed efficiently to meet business needs. Assists with bank-wide training-related tasks and activities for sales generation and operational effectiveness in retail environment. Conducts periodic meetings to review problems, policies, procedures and updates of retail sales and operational activities with the retail team. Partners with management for hiring, discipline, promotion, and transfers of retail operations team. Provides hands-on coaching to promote new account cross-sell opportunities, teller-line referrals, provide regular coaching and observations in an effort to promote retail referrals. Reinforce positive performance with recognition and praise, provide corrective feedback/action plans when necessary. Assists with the coordination and support of branch/bank audits and examinations. Serves as a back-up teller function and services walk-in customers with new account/maintenance and consumer loan requests. Works closely with the Deposit Operations Manager to aid in the execution of retail operations. Oversees and manages the mobile deposit operations of the bank. Oversees and manages the retail execution of Courtesy Pay (Bank's overdraft protection product) Oversees the New Account Gift Inventory, Ordering, and referral tracking for the bank. Contributes to various departments/committees across the bank. Adherence to budget controls around ordering and releasing supplies. Other duties may be assigned.
