### Job Description

Berkshire Hathaway is seeking a diligent and motivated Remote Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about finance, possess strong communication skills, and have a keen eye for detail. As a Remote Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing customer invoices, processing payments, and ensuring accurate financial records. Your work will be critical in supporting the financial health of our company and its stakeholders.

### Key Responsibilities

- **Invoice Management:** Generate and send customer invoices promptly and accurately. Ensure all invoices reflect the correct charges and payment terms as per contractual agreements.

- **Payment Processing:** Receive, record, and process customer payments via various channels (checks, credit cards, electronic funds transfers). Conduct follow-up actions for overdue accounts.

- **Customer Communication:** Reach out to customers regarding outstanding invoices and payment discrepancies. Address and resolve queries related to billing and payment promptly and professionally through effective communication.

- **Account Reconciliation:** Regularly reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.

- **Reporting:** Assist with the preparation of monthly accounts receivable reports, highlighting key metrics such as aging analysis, collection activities, and cash flow projections.

- **Database Management:** Maintain up-to-date customer records and documentation within the financial system, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.

- **Financial Compliance:** Adhere to internal controls and accounting standards to ensure proper financial practices throughout the accounts receivable process.

- **Collaboration:** Work closely with finance, sales, and customer service teams to facilitate seamless operations and enhance customer satisfaction.

- **Continuous Improvement:** Suggest and implement process improvements in accounts receivable functions to streamline operations and increase efficiency.

### Requirements

- **Education:** Minimum of an associate degree or equivalent work experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.

- **Experience:** At least 1 year of experience in accounts receivable, invoicing, or a related financial function.

- **Technical Skills:** Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar systems) is a plus.

- **Personality Traits:**
