Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity, contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. JOB SUMMARY:

The North America Trade Marketing team is responsible for the development of the communication strategy and the facilitation of marketing initiatives that support specific domestic sales channel business needs for Universal Parks. The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to writing communication strategy plans, creative briefs, the development of tactical plans, opening jobs in the workflow system, ensuring projects are delivered on time and on strategy, maintaining alignment with internal Sales partners and external sales clients. A strong working knowledge of internal sales team needs, and external clients' businesses is a priority.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

COMMUNICATION PLANNING & TRADE INTEGRATIONIntegrate domestic B2B and B2B2C communication efforts into overall priority campaigns in collaboration with the Brand Strategy and Communication Planning teams.
Advise our internal communication channel partners on the Trade audiences and communication needs. Ensure the proper messaging is delivered to Trade audiences in partnership with our communication channel partners.
Develop toolkits and manage the creative process of updating core marketing materials to align with campaigns and destination message.
Identify collaboration opportunities and efficiencies with projects and other teams across the Marketing & Sales division.

ACCOUNT MARKETING MANAGEMENTDrive marketing collaboration, communication, and execution of tactics in support of assigned internal sales accounts and domestic external sales clients.
Provide on-going updates to Manager of Account Marketing.
Maintain a strong working knowledge of external client's business to provide well thought-out and educated input into the development of co-op plans and marketing messaging.
Lead ongoing communication with internal sales partners and external clients on topics related to marketing communications, marketing opportunities, and project intake detail. Attend and contribute on calls with internal sales partners and external clients.
Evaluate and manage content on client websites, online media, and other marketing materials.
Manage implementation of campaigns through assigned external clients and report results where possible.
Ensure that marketing tactics being used and/or developed by external clients align with Universal's brand strategy.
Manage 3rd party-developed projects through the internal review and approval process to ensure alignment with Brand Standards and Licensed Partners.

CONTENT & CREATIVE STRATEGY & DEVELOPMENTTranslate business strategy/goals into content & creative strategy/goals.
Understand the importance of briefing and how to inspire great work on all projects. Writes project briefs and creative briefs that ladder up to overall campaign or program briefs.
Express enthusiasm and passion for ideas, share examples that serve as inspiration to the creative team and other partners. Briefs creative team on projects they lead.
Collaborate in the presentation of ideas to partners and leadership.
Implement the content that's been created with internal communication channels, sales teams, and external sales clients.
Understand what drives the impact of strategy & help gather the evidence/results.
Works hand-in-hand with the Project Management team to define scope of work and budget for campaigns and tactics.

SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTISEDevelop a strong working knowledge of Universal Destination & Experiences Brand Standards, Legal, and License guidelines.
Knowledge of industry insights and competitive landscape.
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, and/or business administration is required.
Master's degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

3+ years of relevant experience in marketing communications.
Previous marketing and sales experience within the travel/tourism industry is preferred.
