Research Associate Role SummaryAs a Research Associate at Future Partners, you are a foundational part of our Research department, as your position is responsible for applying your market research and teamwork skills towards supporting our Directors of Research in the design, execution and fulfillment of research projects led on behalf of our clients, and travel industry—ultimately helping to fulfill our company's overall vision and mission to be the go-to resource for traveling consumer insights.
Responsibilities & Required ServicesWork with Directors of Research to develop and implement market research methodologies and follow company processes for analyzing consumer sentiment, travel trends, and other factors affecting our clients' brands, tourism economies, and travel industries.With an eye on accuracy, provide a base level of analysis of a wide range of data, including quantitative and qualitative survey results, and economic data.Prepare initial drafts of survey instruments using the provided templates as a basis.Test, QA and proofread survey instruments, qualitative discussion guides, crosstabulations, and reporting deliverables.Prepare, review, and summarize notes and observations from qualitative studies.Handle tasks related to the production of project deliverables like reports and presentations; such tasks include data visualizations, to communicate research insights effectively.Assist Directors of Research with internal and external (client) communications on project status and milestones.Regularly review Company's Standard Operation Procedures and Best Practices documents to ensure they remain updated and accurate; assist with the creation of new process documentation as needed.Perform background research on clients and their assets they request we study; provide summaries of findings to provide Directors of Research and other team members with a sound understanding of clients' needs to incorporate into research design.Create and maintain databases of research results, trend data, and other findings for client comparisons and benchmarking purposes.Stay informed about emerging technologies, computational methods, and best practices in market research.Anticipate research program needs through intimate familiarity with the research process and client expectations.Identify and define research efficiencies and solutions and communicate these to other departments.Implement tactics towards achieving the Research Department's KPIs on client satisfaction.

Education/Experience/SkillsMinimum of 2 years experience in a market research related roleUnderstanding of the tenants of market research, including quantitative and qualitativeProficiency in Excel analytic tools as well as experience with database software and standard office toolsExperience in data preparation, interpretation, and reporting visualizationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience, Knowledge & Attributes We Consider a PlusKnowledge of the travel, tourism & hospitality industry, especially destination marketing organizationsStrong experience with Hive or other project management softwareExperience with Salesforce or other CRM systemsExperience with Forsta or similar enterprise survey softwareExperience supporting multiple team membersLocationIf located in the San Francisco Bay Area, this role is hybrid 3 days per week onsite in San Francisco, California.If located outside the San Francisco Bay Area, this role is remoteMust be available to work from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time.Travel for team meetings, conferences, and client events is required Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
